Mini Escape Compass – Flat Backup Compass
A tiny flat compass that uses a water surface to orient toward north, sized for compact emergency kits.
The Mini Escape Compass provides a basic north indication in an unusually thin format. It is only 5/8 inch in diameter and 1/32 inch thick, with a stated weight of approximately 0.007 ounce. Instead of using a conventional liquid-filled compass capsule, it relies on surface tension to float on a suitable water surface and turn toward north.
Water-supported operation
Placed on a suitable water surface in a small container, the compass floats through surface tension and is allowed to orient freely.
Quick basic indication
Under suitable conditions, it settles toward north within a few seconds, providing a simple directional reference.
Extremely thin profile
The flat 1/32-inch profile occupies very little space in a compact navigation or emergency kit.
USA-made backup tool
The compass is made in the USA and is intended as a lightweight supplemental direction indicator.
